Fourth phase of Galkynysh gas field development launched in Turkmenistan
In Turkmenistan, the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field development has been launched, involving the drilling of production wells and the construction of a gas processing facility with a capacity of 10 billion cubic meters of commercial gas per year. On this occasion, celebrations were held on April 17 in the Yoloten district of Mary province, attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and First Vice Premier of the State Council of the PRC. The Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan warmly welcomed the head of the Chinese delegation and together they watched Turkmen-Chinese musical performances. Along the way, at an exhibition organized here, they viewed works of applied art that widely reflect the history and culture of our people, as well as excellent examples of our national traditions passed down through the centuries. Subsequently, the Hero-Arkadag and the guest familiarized themselves with specialized vehicles and powerful machinery to be used in the development of the fourth phase of "Galkynysh." This specialized equipment is distinguished by the integration of modern innovative technologies. In the assembly hall specially arranged for the ceremony, speeches were delivered by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and First Vice Premier of the State Council of the PRC. Videos introducing the historical stages of the Galkynysh gas field development and achievements in the country's oil and gas industry were also shown. Following the videos, Turkmen and Chinese specialists, via a digital system, respectfully requested the Hero-Arkadag to give his blessing to start drilling the first gas well of the fourth phase of the Galkynysh field development. With the blessing of the National Leader, the drilling rig commenced operations. Then, the Hero-Arkadag and the First Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China left a commemorative inscription for the groundbreaking ceremony of the new facility, ceremoniously placed the capsule containing the inscription into the foundation of the building, and launched the construction by pouring the first batch of concrete. A festive meal (toy sadaka) was also held here with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the First Vice Premier of the State Council of the PRC Ding Xuexiang to mark the groundbreaking of the fourth phase of the Galkynysh gas field development.
