Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan discussed tansportation and energy cooperation in Brussels
An Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Belgium Sapar Palvanov held a meeting in Brussels with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium Mammad Ahmadzada. This was reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium. The Turkmen diplomat congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart on his appointment to this important diplomatic post and wished him success in his work. During the meeting, the diplomats discussed the current state and prospects for the further development of the traditionally friendly Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations. Special attention was paid to the development of regional cooperation. It was noted that Central Asia and Azerbaijan, situated in a strategically important region between Europe and Asia, play a significant role in ensuring sustainable transportation and transit connectivity between the two continents. In this regard, the participants emphasized the importance of further developing transportation, logistics, energy, and trade and economic ties that contribute to strengthening connectivity between Central Asia, the Caspian region, and Europe. The parties also exchanged views on the interaction between the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan with the European Union and its institutions. At the conclusion of the meeting, the diplomats expressed their readiness to maintain regular contact and to promote the further development of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.
